Background:

Dating sucks. Especially the online variety. Strangely enough, the last time Cupid scored a direct hit, it wasn't the result of my kick ass profile, more a chance meeting in the fruit and vegetable section of a local Publix. Yes, nothing says "I want you" more than a stolen glance over the top of the organic cucumber display.

I digress...

Now apparently this city sports an obscene women to men ratio. Its also the same city where attractive, single women complain bitterly to each other that "all the hot guys in Atlanta are busy dating all the other hot guys in Atlanta". That last fact alone has stopped me from stealing my gay neighbor's miniature wiener and hitting up Piedmont on a Saturday afternoon. Hey, I've seen "Must Like Dogs", you can't blame a guy for considering it can you?

The Goods, and in no particular order:

English. Apparently this is the proverbial "Ace up my sleeve". Would be awesome were it not for the fact that everybody thinks I'm Australian. Crikey mate!

Handsome / Cute: Depending on whether or not you're over 40 or under 40. As in when your mother's friends proclaim "Why Cath! what a handsome young man David has grown into!"

Smart: Mr Brain is there and he's working just fine thanks.

Funny: Smiling yet?

Height: 5 11. Technically 5 10 and 3/4, but why would I round down to 5 10? That's almost an inch I'm giving up, and as my other gay friend says, "Dave, that's practically the difference between ooh and aah...". And believe me, he should know.

Weight: A steady 180 for the last 5 years. An Irish girl in NYC once told me I had "just the right amount of meat on me bones". I've since learned that this is something you should never say to a woman.

Sexual Prowess: Great in bed. Haven't wet it, or fallen out of it in years. Believe that laughter and sex are two of the most important things in any relationship. Just not at the same time please.

I think I am a nice guy (like everyone else). I am trying to find my place in this world and enjoying my passions along the way. If there is one thing I'm not, I'd have it say it's "well rounded". I don't have a general interest or curiosity about many things. What I do have is fanatical interest in only a few things. I'm not much for the bar scene. I don't mind hitting up the local watering hole every now and then but it's just not something I like doing on a regular basis. I only drink when it's called for in a social situation. If I did then hell, I wouldn't have had to make this profile. I have recently finished college, and i am moving back to Atlanta. I really enjoy the outdoors. Recently I have been climbing a lot, but i also enjoy hiking, biking, and other activities. I am an Army brat who has been in Atlanta for 3 years working for the man. Hi, I'm Sydney. I like reading, video games, drawing, movies, and jet skiing, and lots of other stuff...
I am pretty easy going. I like going to the movies, or sitting around watching television. I am definitely an action movie kinda girl. I love anything with explosions. I don't really go for chick flicks. As for television I watch cartoons and crime dramas primarily. Not really into reality t.v.

I really love animals. I am definitely a dog person. I have two dogs at home in Florida, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and a Weimarauner, who are very important to me. When I have my own back yard I want either a Great Pyrenees or a Husky. I like big dogs :) I like cats too, my mom and I just adopted a kitten off the street, we named him max. He's a little pain the the ass, as well as most of my other body parts, but he's adorable.
I love theme parks and especially roller coasters. As a Florida resident I have season passes to universal and Disney world, and I take advantage of that.

As an impressionable youth I started out as a Nintendo and Lincoln nerd (yes, Abraham - sadly, I've forgotten most of it) and worked my way through pretty much every geek activity. Lately I've been holed up between late-night gaming and being a grad student with a side of teaching. I'd like to get out more and meet people with similar interests. I enjoy geeky discussion and friendly debate, and I'm just as cool with a night on the town or staying in with the movie/game of your choice.

I saw someone describe themselves as an introverted extrovert once and I think it applies to me. I crave company, I'm fine with attention and crowds and I'll get on a roll entertaining people, yet I mostly enjoy small gatherings. I like downtime with video games, movies or TV. I tend to be the quiet one towards the back of groups.

Born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia. Still live there to this day, though thankfully not with my parents still. They however do still live in the home I grew up in about a mile away. I'm a software engineer by trade with a computer science degree from SPSU. Have several tattoos plan to get more. I take krav maga (Israeli military combat system). Been spending an increasing amount of time at the bar near my place, though I swear I'm not an alcoholic, just a drunk ;). I think humor can exist in almost any situation and it's a worthwhile task to find it. I will protect those closest to me under any circumstance and be there for them as if my life depended on it. I will never put someone I'm dating above my friends in importance, I hate when people do that. Everyone I care for is equally important to me.

I believe almost every problem in the world can be solved with Beatles lyrics. The two most applicable are "all you need is love" and "I get by with a little help from my friends" and try to shy away from the moments when "happiness is a warm gun" applies.

I grew up in FL (Gator Girl!!!) but now live in GA. I currently attend college for my degree in Respiratory Therapy and then will double major in Psychology once the former is out of the way. My goal is to open a group home for handicap adults. I love people from all walks of life. I love making people laugh and I'll do just about anything to make it happen, even if it means taking one for the team. Music, reading and writing are my passions. I play guitar. I am a good solid guy who lives on the north side of Atlanta. I went to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I love to get out and do things especially since I work from home and get a little stir crazy. I try to balance my work and life but sometimes end up working too much (other times work is slow and I get to play more :)) I enjoy all types of things such as concerts (U2 rocks), football games, baseball, hockey, and as of Sept 9- NASCAR (I had no idea it was that much fun). I also enjoy dinner and a great bottle of wine, great Italian food, and Mexican with a perfect margarita as well. So I am pretty much all over the place from jeans and a t-shirt to a tux, I like it all.

For the record I am a smart ass, joke telling, happy person. I am very quick witted and enjoy a great debate.

I am remodeling my house and am very handy (my female friends say this is a big plus) with fixing problems. I dont like doing yard work because I am scared of snakes (I mean run like a little kid scared), but not much else scares me.

I guess to summarize me I will list some things that I believe or have noticed about life- I am a bit humorous - well I think so.

Im a working student, just trying to better myself, and prepare myself for the greater things to come. I always looked forward to the future, since theres no reason for me to dwell in the past. I have been threw alot, and i look forward to whats to come. I enjoy going out sometimes with my friends, hanging out at bars, playing pool and drinking a pitcher of bud light. I probably go out about 3 times a month, so im no big partier or drinker. But im not dead either. Right now im addicted to college. I love going to school, especailly for free. Cant beat a free education, and all i had to do was make good grades, and the state of Ga kindly paid for my education. Gotta love it. I also like to work on my car. I have 2004 mustang GT. Ive done alot to it, and still have alot more to do. Well if theres anyting else that youd like to know about me, just ask?

I'm a pretty laid back person all in all. I am also very determined and know what I want out of life and am willing to work hard to achieve my goals. I like to go out and have fun but I also like being by myself sometimes or just having a night alone with my significant other. I am divorced and have 2 grown daughters soon to be attending GT. My dog Abby is the only one left living with me.
